#FBACKUP 4 INCREMENTAL BACKUP SOFTWARE#
Summary: Not only poorest backup software I have used, but probably in my 40 years of using computers and tech, this is possibly the worst software architecture i have ever seen at all. I don't see the point in listing in detail all these things because it should be clear what terrible support means (poor or no communication), terrible speed means (slow), terrible UI means (unclear, hard to use), etc. Negative: Terrible UI, terrible support, terrible speed, terrible reviews. That's about the best I can say about it. Takes a long time, and I never waited long enough to finish, but I suppose by the end of the month it might have backed up a bunch of my files. Positive: It perhaps can back up some files at some point, so I guess that's a positive thing. The company just screams SCAM! I hope everyone sees this before they use them, because they shouldn't be getting any money from anyone. And they have a username which is clearly female, that uses a male profile picture. They have one review twice, with two different people using it. They use the same picture of the person on two different reviews. HOW CAN MY FILES BE THE PROBLEM IN A BACKUP!!? You can't see where it's at with each file, and when you write to support their English is poor and they blame the files I have. They're slow, their UI is not clear on what is actually happening with your files. Summary: When I write how terrible they are, that's an understatement. How do I delete past versions in the cloud to make more space? Oh, you can't really, because the setting for that, which they instruct on the website, doesn't exist in the software. I could not get a straight answer to this - it, apparently, just is. Why should one have to re-login to software on their own machine at all, let alone every week or so. "If this, then that" seems to have not been a consideration. I honestly don't know what the thought processes of the programmers were in writing this software. If the software had been written correctly, for an average human to use, one wouldn't need to seek out support at all, but it's not. The awful support is the worst part of the whole ordeal of using this software. Negative: The other reviewers covered this pretty well, so I won't belabor the points they made. I have had occasion to restore files, so I have to believe that files ARE being stored somewhere. So, CBackup does that - backs up files to a cloud. Positive: I LIKED the idea of a backup solution that, in addition to my onsite backup, gave me an offsite backup. It is not worth anyone's time or headache. I found this site while looking for another backup solution, and thought I'd stop and warn whomever reads this. This is extremely poor software, and by extension, I must assume the backup back office is as chaotic as the customer-facing interface. Summary: Overall, I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy.
